The new multipurpose arena serves as the home for the Atlanta Hawks G League Team. The venue will also host graduations, concerts, high school and college tournaments and other events. The Gateway Center Arena at College Park holds 3,500 seats for basketball games and other sports and up to 5,000 seats for concerts and other events. The 100,000 square-foot facility is located adjacent to the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC) located in College Park, Georgia.

The structural frame consists of structural steel with a curved glazed façade at the entry and insulated precast panels surrounding the remaining portion of the building. The roof trusses span 170 feet over the event space with an on-grade seating bowl. A composite concrete deck is used for the majority of the roof system in order to mitigate sound resulting from planes departing and arriving at the nearby Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
