Metropolitan Library

 The Metropolitan Library was opened on October 1, 2015. At the time of its opening, it was the newest library in the Fulton County Library System and was replacing the oldest library, the Stewart-Lakewood Library, which had been serving the community for 56 years. The new location allows Metropolitan to bring the neighborhoods of Capitol View Manor, Capitol View, Sylvan Hills, Adair Park, and Pittsburgh together with updated technology, and meeting spaces for programs and events. The interior is flooded with natural light due to the floor to ceiling windows that wall the building, creating a warm atmosphere. Our patrons enjoy reading, studying, and using the many available computers while browsing our shelves for the latest books and magazines.
