The New Hampstead High School in Chatham County, will be located within the New Hampstead area off Little Neck Road near Savannah, Georgia.
The project consists of an approximate 230,000 GSF high school including a gymnasium, classrooms, offices, cafeteria, and media center.
The structural system for the elevated floors consists of composite steel construction. The structure for the roof consists of non-composite steel framing and steel bar joists. Concentric braced steel frames are used in the classroom and common areas to resist the lateral loads, while cmu shear walls are used in the gymnasium as a lateral system.
